Hi there!

My name is Gretchen Ammentorp. I’m a Horticultural Science and Design student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Here you can see my past work and experiences!

Highlights

Picture of me giving a thumbs up while standing next to a partially planted tree. The root ball is still exposed.

In the summer of 2021, I had the amazing opportunity to work as a horticulture intern at Forest Park Forever in St. Louis. There I gained great insight into what it’s like working in the industry.

In my time as Vice President of the university’s Horticulture Club, I gained valuable experience in communicating and getting creative with ways to get people interested in horticulture.

I’ve taken many horticulture classes that have given me hands-on experience identifying plants and learning about them – from growing them in a greenhouse to using them in a landscape.
